Wow! A robotic vacuum cleaner! Holy cow, I should have done this sooner.
I’ve been wanting one for years but thought with my cat who had medium length hair that the vacuum would just clog up. Maybe over time, they have developed so that a robotic vacuum cleaner could handle tougher situations. Whatever the difference between my misconceptions and how a robot vacuum actually works these days, I am thankful I took the big step.
The model is an Amarey 800. It does a terrific job. The price was the deciding factor plus they were having a lovely sale. I wanted a robot vac badly and I wasn’t going to splurge on a higher-end model.
Easy Set Up
My vacuum was easy to set up. Just had to attach the brushes. They snapped into place easily. Turned on a switch on the bottom of the unit. Plugged the docking station in. The docking station had to be up against a wall. May not have needed to place the robot on the docking station as I did. Pressed the button on the top … off the little vacuum went scooting around my floor.
The robot vacuum came with a remote. The only problem is I can not interpret what the buttons on the remote do because the print in the instruction manual is too darn small. The remote does work because I have pressed various buttons. Perhaps tomorrow I will find some patience, clean my glasses, and try again.
Does a Great Job
Well, this little machine did a great job on my floor. The test was in the living room over by my parrot cage where there usually is a bunch of seed he threw out of the cage and some feathers because he molts. This robotic vacuum cleaner took care of the entire mess. Thank you.
It was funny because every time the vacuum went near the cage my parrot would say “hello pretty birdie”. I guess he thinks he has a new friend. Glad he is entertained.

Actually, I myself was quite entertained. It was fun watching my vacuum cleaner move around all by itself and then return to the docking station on its own. I’m sure the newness will wear off but I am enjoying myself for now. Like my bird, I am easy to entertain. What else can I say?
